Legends say the Lord Rama had asked his brother Lakshmana to watch their enemies in Lanka from this fort which has 39 caves and the oldest one dates back to the 1st century. You will find Brahmi script inscriptions inside the caves and also several embossed figures like horses, tigers, elephants etc.

Yes, that’s the place that inspired Rudyard Kipling to write “The Jungle Book” – thanks to its lush green meadows. It is the home for a huge species of animals, birds and over 1000 species of plants. The ecological system is perfectly balanced with different types of grass that feed deers, gaurs and more. The water bodies equally serve the animals, birds, aquatic life and the plants.

Mumbai is termed as a city that never sleeps and never disappoints tourists who flock in thousands throughout the year for pilgrimage, business and sightseeing. Strangely, it is a city that has the peak of both poverty as well as wealth. If there are posh places like Juhu and Cuffe Parade where film stars and celebrities reside, there is Dharavi as a contrast which is the biggest slum area of Asia. Stay overnight in the city to know more about it.
